Google Pixel 7 is a recently launched model by Google in the last year. Because of high quality camera and the brand value of Google, this smartphone is becoming so popular globally. So far the market share of Google in the mobile market is not like Samsung or Apple but still they are improving the product and working level best to dominate the mobile market one day.

As an avid tech enthusiast living in Bangladesh, you’ve likely heard the buzz surrounding the upcoming Google Pixel 7 smartphone release. The latest offering from Google’s Pixel lineup of devices is rumored to feature upgraded cameras, a new design, and the latest internal components all at a budget-friendly price. However, living in a country where most flagship smartphones are priced well beyond the average salary, you have to wonder if the Google Pixel 7 will truly be worth the hype – and the investment. Before you get swept up in the excitement and anticipation of an innovative new phone, it’s important to look at the facts regarding the Google Pixel 7’s expected specifications, features, and price in Bangladesh. Only then can you determine if the Google Pixel 7 is a smartphone really worth your hard-earned money.

Google Pixel 7 Price in Bangladesh: How Much Does It Cost?

As an avid tech enthusiast, you may be eagerly awaiting the release of Google’s latest flagship smartphone, the Pixel 7, in Bangladesh. However, before you get too excited, it’s important to consider if the price of the Google Pixel 7 in Bangladesh will fit your budget.

The Google Pixel 7 is expected to be released in October 2022, with a starting price of around BDT 80,000 for the 128GB model. The higher-end 256GB model will likely cost BDT 90,000 or more. These prices are quite high compared to other premium Android smartphones available in Bangladesh, like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series or the OnePlus 10 Pro.

While the Pixel 7 will offer an upgraded camera, the latest version of Android with guaranteed software updates, and other useful features like live translation, the question remains whether these factors justify the premium cost for Bangladeshi consumers with more limited budgets. Some key considerations include:

  1. How much of a priority is having the latest software and OS updates for you? The Pixel 7 will receive updates directly from Google for at least 3 years.
  2. How often do you use the camera on your phone? The Pixel 7 camera, with its upgraded lens and AI-powered features, is a major selling point – but only useful if you frequently take photos or videos.
  3. Can you afford to pay BDT 5,000-10,000 more for the Pixel brand and experience? If not, you may need to consider more affordable alternatives.

In summary, while the Google Pixel 7 seems set to be an impressive flagship phone, its high expected price in Bangladesh may make it unsuitable and not the best value for many consumers here. For most people, a mid-range or cheaper premium Android phone will likely suit their needs at a lower cost. Unless having the latest Pixel or software updates is very important to you, the price of the Google Pixel 7 in Bangladesh may simply not match the hype.

Google Pixel 7 Design and Display: A Premium Feel

The Google Pixel 7 features a premium design and display that provides an exceptional user experience.

  • The Pixel 7 has an aluminum alloy frame with a matte glass back, giving it a high-quality feel in your hands. Its 6.3-inch display has minimal bezels, with a small punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. The OLED screen produces vivid colors and deep blacks, with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels for a sharp image.
  • The display has a 90Hz refresh rate, providing smooth scrolling and animations. The higher refresh rate, combined with a bright screen reaching up to 800 nits, makes the Pixel 7 ideal for watching video content or playing mobile games. The display is also HDR10+ certified, able to showcase a wide range of colors.
  • Google has included stereo speakers on the Pixel 7 that provide clear and loud audio. The speakers are tuned to deliver balanced sound with solid bass response for a smartphone. They support high-definition codecs for listening to lossless music files. You also get a physical USB-C port for charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio connections.
  • The Pixel 7 ships with the latest version of Android and will receive software and security updates directly from Google for at least three years. Android 13 includes enhanced customization options, streamlined notifications, and additional security and privacy controls to give you more transparency over how apps access data.

With premium build quality, an excellent display, loud stereo speakers, and long-term software support, the Google Pixel 7 offers a refinement of the flagship Android experience that will satisfy even demanding users. For the price, it is an undeniably appealing package that deserves the hype.

The internal storage is not expandable, so choose the size that fits your needs.

Camera

3 Downsides to Consider Before Buying the Google Pixel 7

While the Google Pixel 7 seems poised to impress, there are a few downsides to consider before purchasing this device.

Higher Price Than Predecessor

The Pixel 7 is rumored to start at $599, $100 more than the launch price of the Pixel 6. For the upgraded Pixel 7 Pro, you’ll likely pay at least $899. With inflation and component shortages, some price increase is expected. However, if staying within a budget is a concern, you may want to wait for a sale or consider other, more affordable options.

No microSD Card Slot

Like the Pixel 6, the Pixel 7 is not expected to include a microSD card slot for expandable storage. While 128GB and 256GB storage options will be available, if you require additional storage for photos, videos, music or other files, you’ll need to choose a higher storage model upfront or rely on cloud storage and streaming services.

Battery Life May Disappoint

While Google has improved battery life with each new Pixel release, early reports indicate the Pixel 7 may still fall slightly short of the battery life offered by competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series or iPhone 13 Pro models. Under normal usage, the Pixel 7 battery should last a full day, but heavy users may need to charge during the day to avoid draining the battery completely. Fast charging can provide a quick power boost when needed.

If longer battery life, expandable storage or a lower price point are must-haves, you may prefer an alternative to the Google Pixel 7. However, for a premium Android experience with an amazing camera, great software and fast performance, the Pixel 7 should deliver and the downsides may be worth the compromise. The choice ultimately comes down to which features are most important for your needs and budget.

Google Pixel 7 Review: Our Verdict

Display

The Google Pixel 7 features a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a pixel density of 523 PPI. The display is bright, vibrant, and sharp. Viewing angles are great and content looks crisp. The high refresh rate of 90Hz makes scrolling and animations smooth. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which should help prevent scratches and cracks.

Performance

The Google Pixel 7 is powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset, which provides snappy performance for most tasks like browsing the web, streaming media, and more. Multitasking is a breeze, apps open quickly, and there is no lag. The Pixel 7 comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage, providing plenty of memory and storage for most users. If you need more storage, Google does not offer expandable storage on the Pixel 7.

Camera

The Pixel 7 features a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 48MP telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom. Photo quality is excellent with vibrant colors and details. Low-light photos also turn out great thanks to night sight mode. Video can be recorded in up to 4K at 60fps. The camera app is intuitive to use but provides powerful features like magic eraser, motion mode, and real tone. The Pixel 7 has one of the best smartphone cameras currently available.

Battery Life

The Google Pixel 7 has a 4,355mAh battery that can easily last a full day of normal usage. With heavier usage like gaming, streaming video, or navigation, you may need to charge the phone during the evening to get through a second day. The phone supports fast charging up to 30W, which can charge the Pixel 7 up to 50% in around 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also supported at up to 21W.

In summary, the Google Pixel 7 is an excellent Android flagship phone with a great display, fast performance, impressive cameras, and solid battery life. While a bit pricey, the Pixel 7 provides a premium experience and the latest software from Google. For the price, the Pixel 7 is worth considering if you want the best of Android.

Google Pixel 7 vs Pixel 6: What’s New and Different?

The Google Pixel 7 is the latest flagship phone from Google, releasing in October 2022. How does it compare to last year’s Pixel 6? Here are the main differences to consider if you’re deciding which device to purchase:

Design

The Pixel 7 features a redesigned camera bar and frame made of polished aluminum, giving it a sleeker look than the Pixel 6. It is a bit thinner and lighter, weighing in at 6.3 ounces compared to the Pixel 6 at 7.3 ounces. Both phones have 6.3-inch displays, but the Pixel 7 uses a new toughened Gorilla Glass Victus to help prevent cracks and scratches.

Specs

Under the hood, the Pixel 7 contains the next-generation Google Tensor G2 chipset, which provides faster performance and efficiency over the Tensor chip in the Pixel 6. The Pixel 7 offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, similar to the Pixel 6. Battery life is comparable at over 24 hours per charge.

Cameras

The Pixel 7’s rear cameras remain largely unchanged from the Pixel 6, with a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide camera. However, Google has upgraded the front-facing camera to an 10.8MP sensor with a wider f/2.2 aperture for better low-light selfies. The Pixel 7 also introduces a new “Photo Unblur” feature to sharpen blurry photos using machine learning.

Software

As Google’s latest devices, both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 provide five years of software and security updates. The Pixel 7 ships with Android 13, the newest version of Android with additional customization options, security enhancements, and AI-based features like “Live Translate” for translating speech, signs and more in real time.

Overall, while the Pixel 7 brings some refinements and new capabilities over the Pixel 6, both remain compelling options with similar functionality. Unless you need the latest and greatest or prefer the Pixel 7’s design, the Pixel 6 continues to offer solid value for most users. The choice comes down to your priorities and budget.

Google Pixel 7 FAQs: Your Questions Answered

What are the main features of the Google Pixel 7?

The Google Pixel 7 comes with many impressive features for a smartphone in its price range. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth scrolling and viewing experience. It is powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset and 8GB of RAM, offering fast performance for most tasks like web browsing, streaming media, social media, and more.

How much storage does the Google Pixel 7 have?

The Google Pixel 7 comes with two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. The 128GB model should be sufficient for most users to store photos, videos, music, apps, and games. However, if you plan to take a lot of photos and 4K videos or download many large files, the 256GB model provides double the space for only a little more money. Unfortunately, the Pixel 7 does not have a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

What kind of cameras does the Google Pixel 7 have?

The Google Pixel 7 features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultra-wide camera. It supports 4K video recording, Night Sight for low-light photos, and other camera features enabled by Google’s advanced image processing. The 8MP front-facing camera is suitable for selfies and video calls. While the camera hardware itself is not the most advanced, Google’s software and AI enable the Pixel 7 to produce some of the best photos of any smartphone.

How long does the Google Pixel 7 battery last?

The Google Pixel 7 has a 4,355mAh battery that can provide all-day battery life with normal usage like social media, web browsing and music streaming. The battery should last around 6-8 hours of screen on time for most users. The phone also supports fast charging to get a 50% charge in around 30 minutes. However, it lacks wireless charging which some similarly priced phones offer.

What colors does the Google Pixel 7 come in?

The Google Pixel 7 is available in three color options: Obsidian (black), Snow (white/gray), and Lemongrass (yellow-green). The colors have a matte finish that feels premium and helps hide fingerprints. Unfortunately, there are no other bold color choices, but the available options should suit most tastes.

Conclusion

In conclusion, you have to weigh the pros and cons of the Google Pixel 7 based on your needs and budget. While the camera, display, and software experience may be appealing, the price tag could be a deterrent for many in Bangladesh. For casual users, a mid-range device may suit you just fine and save you money. However, if having the latest and greatest technology with a best-in-class camera is important, the Pixel 7 would be worth the investment for the experience it provides. The choice ultimately comes down to you and what you value in your smartphone. The Pixel 7 is a noteworthy device, but only you can decide if it’s worth the hype for your needs. Think it over and go with what makes the most sense for your situation.

    Best competitor of iPhone 14

Undoubtedly the best mobile phone for photography. I'm using for few month. Got some call drop issue initially. Recently change the network settings and the problem is almost solve. But still can't assure the call drop issue.
Cinematic video mode is extremely fantastic because of huge stability on footage.

    Call drop problem!

I am using Google pixel 7 from 3 month and this is a good mobile phone in terms of budget and features. Though the front camera isn't make me satisfied but the performance of the rear camera is absolutely fantastic. Specially I like the Portrait and night mode.
Google pixel 7 is good for videography as well. Specially the cinematic mode and the stabilization is very good. No need to buy a gimbal and you can capture very stable footage.
But the most important thing of a mobile phone is the performance during the call. Still now I am suffering a huge call drop issue. Implemented different network settings but the problem is not solved yet. Huge hassle for me.
I am expecting Google phone will be officially available in Bangladesh soon and the customers will not suffer anymore. Let's see. But I am not happy for the calling issues.
